PYB
offers a holistic approach to youth development that incorporates
high school education,
job readiness training,
community leadership and
vocational education. Every week, students spend time
learning in the classroom, helping community organizations
and practicing their skills in the workshop and in the field.
PYB students can enroll in the Construction
Program or the Computer
Technology Program. Both offer preparation for work
or continued training in high-demand fields. However, our
curriculum is designed to give PYB graduates skills
and knowledge that apply to any career or life goal.
Students accepted to PYB devote 30
hours per week to the program for a period of approximately
nine months, while earning a modest living stipend.
